Where to Watch Birds in Northern Cyprus
By Steve Cale
Steve Cale has been bird watching for 35 years, during which time he has travelled widely. Probably better known for his distinctive wildlife art work, familiar to many.
In 2006 he visited Northern Cyprus and was captivated. Realising there was little documented about the avifauna of the North he began work on this volume in an attempt to improve our knowledge of the birdlife of Northern Cyprus. This book has tried to capture a snapshot of the wildlife, in particular the birds. The island is geographically situated at the cross roads of major bird migration flyways.
After two years of research this book is now finished and hopefully will help birders and conservationists alike.
It gives the reader all the information they need for where to watch birds in Northern Cyprus along with up to date status information on species where possible.
The book contains
*18 maps plus written directions on the best birding sites
*Colour photos and illustrations to aid identification
*Full up to date bird, butterfly, reptile and mammal lists for the whole of Cyprus
Available directly from the author for 15.99 plus £1 P+P.
